In support of The Starlight Foundation, we’ve teamed up with Zing Pop Culture and EB Games to bring you an exciting Fundraising Event featuring a Cosplay and Book Week Costume Competition, Mario Time Trials, Balloon Twisters, Glitter Tattoos and Raffle Prizes! Bring the kids dressed in their favourite costumes and join in the fun. All funds raised will be donated to The Starlight Foundation, helping to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

Cosplay & Book Week Costume Competition
Show off your style, imagination, and love for your favourite characters at our Book Week & Cosplay Costume Competition. Dress up as anyone from books, movies, TV shows, video games, or comics, and take the stage to wow our judges.
Love cosplay? This is your time to shine! Whether you are into magical worlds, superheroes, or iconic pop culture characters, our competition is the perfect place to showcase your craftsmanship and creativity. Meet fellow fans, strike a pose for the cameras, and celebrate your favourite fandoms in style.
There will be prizes for creativity, effort, and presentation, plus plenty of photo spots and a buzzing atmosphere filled with other participants who love dressing up too. Best of all, every dollar raised supports The Starlight Foundation to bring joy to seriously ill children.

Pre-Registration Closes: 9pm Thursday 21 August at Zing Pop Culture.
Disclosure of all costumes is a requirement in participate. All face covering and replica weapons must be disclosed.

Day of Event
Please arrive at the event space at 9am to check in to the competition.

Mario Kart Time Trials
10am – 1pm
Rev up your engines and challenge yourself in the Mario Kart Time Trials at our Family Fun-Draiser! Test your racing skills in a solo race to secure the fastest lap time and help us raise funds for The Starlight Foundation, bringing smiles to children in need.

At our Family Fun-Draiser, you can make a gold coin donation to enjoy fun activities like balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, or entering the lucky dip! Every donation you contribute goes directly to The Starlight Foundation, helping bring joy and support to seriously ill children and their families. Join the fun and make a meaningful impact!
Terms of Entry/ Participation
- Weapons Policy: All props or costume weapons must be disclosed to staff. The following items are not permitted, including but not limited to:
• Guns
• Baseball bats
• Sharp objects or knives
• Metal items
• Glass items
• Any object that replicates a weapon
All items are subject to staff discretion on the day of the event. - Face Coverings: Face coverings are not permitted outside of the designated event area.
- Identification: Event identification, supplied at check-in, must be visibly worn while in costume.
- Centre Conditions: All Caneland Central standard entry conditions must be followed.
- Behaviour Expectations: All participants are expected to behave respectfully toward other attendees, staff and retailers. Any aggressive, offensive or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the event.
- Costume Coverage: Costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment. Revealing or offensive attire will not be permitted, at the discretion of event staff.
- Prop Checks and Refusal of Entry: Event staff reserve the right to inspect any props or costume elements and refuse entry if they deem them unsafe or inappropriate.
- Photography Consent: By participating in the event, attendees consent to being photographed or filmed for promotional purposes by Caneland Central.
